I PLAY HITA MODULES IN MOST OF MY CONCERTS AND I KEEP BUILDING MORE AND MORE OF THEM. THEY ARE ALL SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT. IT IS SUCH A NICE FEELING TO BUILD MY OWN INSTRUMENTS AND THEN PLAY THEM REALLY LOUD OR REALLY CRAZY.

AND I LIKE EXCHANGING AND INTERPLAYING WITH OTHER ARTISTS, DANCERS, MUSICIANS.

based on a strange request of a friend's friend, my friend Martin HUG designed a circuit in order to permit kinetic performers to control electronical sound sources with their movements.

so he develloped a little noise maker utilizing a very simple and cheap little oscillating system based on the schmitt triggers an 74HC14 IC is designed for.

LDR control the voltage the chip gets powered with. which means either:

WHEN LIGHT, SOUND.

WHEN LIGHT, NO SOUND.

the result is a weird play with setting off the oscillations and interplaying with different frequencies.

powerful resonances. humming vibrations. inspiring polyrhythms. solid weirdness.

it is an ongoing game with light and shadow.
